Q: Do you have a minimum requirement for cake orders?

A: The minimum charge is per 6" cake. The price depends on the design, size.

Q: Do you do consultations/tastings?

A: Yes. Consultations/tastings are for wedding cakes only and are by appointment only. Consultations/tastings are which is credited back to you when you secure your date within 7 days of your consultation.

Q: What should I bring with me to my consultation?

A: Any pictures or inspiration pieces (lace, ribbon, material etc.) and colors for the wedding. It is also important to know how many people will serve your cake and what your budget is.

Q: I am not having a wedding. How can I taste your cakes?

A: We offer "tastings-to-go" which is a small sampling of 4 of our most popular flavours of cake and filling/icing that you can order. Tasting boxes are available for .

Q: How far in advance should I place my order?

A: We book all our cakes on a first-come, first reserved basis. It is suggested that you reserve your date as soon as you know you will be needing a cake. Because of our size, we only take a limited amount of orders each week. We do last minute cake in our Cake Studio.

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: Yes, a deposit of 50% is required on all NON BRIDAL orders. Your order is not put in the appointment book until a deposit has been received. You will receive an electronic receipt from us as well, outlining all of the details of your order. Orders placed with less than 2 weeks’ notice require payment in full.

Q: Do you charge sales tax?

A: Yes.

Q: What forms of payment do you take?

A: We ask you to pay in cash, payable check or via e-transfer or via PayPal or Debit or Credit Card.

Q: How to issue an Interac e-Transfer

A:

1.Log-in to your on-line banking account and select "Interac e-Transfer"

2. Create a recipient — enter the company name and email address of the recipient as indicated below Recipient: BestCakes Recipient e-mail: office@bestcakes.ca

3. Create a security question — you will be asked to create a security question and to provide the answer to that question. We recommend that you use the following security question;

4. Submit your payment: an email will be sent to the recipient indicating that a payment has been sent.

 

Q: What is my invoice number?

A: (enter the invoice number for which you are submitting a payment) DO NOT enter the answer to your security question in the text message section of the Interac e- Transfer for security reasons; always send a separate email to office@bestcakes.ca providing this information


Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: Yes. A non refundable deposit is required to confirm your custom order. The remaining balance is due either upon delivery or pick up.
